“The Fall Formal explores the aesthetic of a 1980’s prom. The idea was inspired by my own experiences with prom, as a child my school hugely lacked in diversity so I wanted to create the most inclusive prom experience I could think of while maintaining a fun/accepting treatment for the images. I also wanted to create references to iconic films such as Carrie (1976), which is why our beautiful prom queen is cradling the baby piglet, and the cult film Mean Girls in which the character Regina George is forced to attend prom in a head brace. Our plus size model Joanne’s character was inspired by Madonna in Material Girl”. - Craig Hemming

Maria Grachvogel - TRANSCEND | Transformative Fashion | Beyond the moment, and through time

Beyond the moment, and through time. In this film, Maria Grachvogel explores the ideas at the heart of TRANSCEND and the philosophy that has shaped her work for more than 30 years.
From the story behind the iconic Magic Trousers, created 20 years ago, to the importance of cut and fit as the foundation of every Grachvogel piece; from Artwork Prints that are created to work with the architecture of the body, to garments designed to transform and be worn in different ways.
At its heart, TRANSCEND is about a different idea of luxury - one that moves beyond the moment and beyond the pressure of constant newness.
For Maria, the ultimate luxury is not having more, but choosing well: finding the pieces you never want to give up, pieces that become part of your story and continue to have meaning through time.
TRANSCEND is a collection shaped by this belief - fluid yet intentional, balancing softness with structure, and designed to be worn, kept and returned to, beyond seasons and passing trends.

IMMORTAL is a meditation on individuality — your immortal self, the inner Goddess that embodies strength, movement, and quiet power. Fluid silhouettes transform with you, adapting to body and mood in restorative, luminescent tones. Artwork prints inspired by Icelandic landscapes evoke nature, light, and emotional connection.

Metamorphosis - The process of transformation.
I love the idea of fashion as an expression of who you are, or who you want to be. Transforming how you feel about yourself through what you choose to wear.
A story of you, reflecting your life and its journey. Your dreams, your desires, your soul and expression. Your joy.
You are dynamic, ever changing, powerful and beautiful.

Maria Grachvogel | Fashion Film | EDIT | London Fashion Week

Putting the woman at the heart of my work, I believe that the real story of each piece begins when it becomes a part of your life and wardrobe.
This short film, EDIT, is the first in a two part series to celebrate 30 years at London Fashion Week.
EDIT celebrates my process of creation, how I work on the body and with the woman in mind. Not only to sculpt and enhance your body and confidence, but how I think about each piece, how it will be worn, styled, and used so that everything I create will become valued and treasured.
This process of design, the editing of many ideas to create only the best, most meaningful pieces is intended to create wardrobe treasures that are loved, treasured, repaired and passed down to the next generation, creating magical memories along the way.

Maria Grachvogel | Fashion Film | UNFOLD | London Fashion Week

This short film, UNFOLD, is the last part in a two part series to celebrate 30 years at London Fashion Week.
At the heart of my work is always the woman, the relationship between her and what she chooses to wear is deeply personal, a reflection of her inner soul.
UNFOLD celebrates that relationship and the unfolding of that very personal expression. The power of fashion to transform our mood, our body image and our confidence.

Maria Grachvogel | Fashion Film | TRANSFORM | London Fashion Week

This short film celebrates our ethos of Transformative Fashion.
From clothing that is cut to flatter and transform how you feel about yourself, we create pieces that also transform with different styling options to create many different looks.
Clothing with an ability to adapt to every feeling, mood and look - transforming how we perceive fashion, not just for one season, but as a partner in your life’s journey, creating beautiful memories along the way.

Maria Grachvogel | Fashion Film | INFINITY - Through The Looking Glass | London Fashion Week

This film is a journey of a woman and her different relationships with the clothing she wears, how she inhabits different moods and feelings, how each garment she chooses creates a different character, reflects a different part of her soul.
I always start with the woman. Inhabiting a feeling and not just a look to create a different dynamic between the woman and the clothes.
Each piece works in harmony with the body and the character of the woman and each woman takes part of the character of the pieces I create and makes it her own when she wears it.
Her soul is reflected through the clothing and the piece she chooses reflects a part of herself, so the clothing becomes a mirror to the person inside.
I want the woman to always shine through with every piece I create. I believe it is the difference between ‘it’s a great dress’.., and ‘you look great in that dress’.

Maria Grachvogel | Fashion Film | GENESIS Chapter 3 - A New Dawn | London Fashion Week

The Genesis series of short films were created as a celebration of almost 30 years in British Fashion.
The last in the series, this film looks at the relationship between art and the body, how the body and movement informs the flow and beauty of each piece of Artwork print that is created.
The Maria Grachvogel brand of Fashion and Luxury is about fit architecture – making clothes exist for the wearer, rather than the other way around.
A personal journey for empowering women through fashion, with transformative cutting which works in harmony with the body and unique Artwork prints that are painted to follow the line of the garment and the woman inside.
Always celebrating the woman, a concept which is ageless and timeless, where the past is respected and the future driven by a constant evolution.
